Activon’s Manuka Honey Gauze Dressing is designed to help you heal. Use Activon Manuka Honey Gauze Dressing on partial or full thickness wounds including: sloughy wounds, pressure ulcers, leg ulcers, surgical wounds, burns, graft sites and malodorous wounds. Directions: Place Activon Manuka Honey Gauze Dressing directly onto the wound, with either side facing down. For larger wounds, multiple dressings can be placed side by side, while for smaller wounds, this Manuka Honey Dressing may be cut to size. Activon Manuka Honey Gauze Dressing may be unfolded to cover larger wounds, but this reduces the efficiency of the product. Cover Activon Manuka Honey Gauze Dressing with a second dressing of your choice. Activon Manuka Honey Gauze Dressing may be changed daily, or left in place for up to seven days, but for maximum effectiveness should be changed when the dressing color changes.
Contraindications: a known allergy to honey or bee venom. Although Activon Manuka Honey Gauze Dressing contains glucose it is considered safe for use by diabetics. However, it is advisable to closely monitor blood sugar levels during use. A few patients experience increased pain due when this dressing is applied, but this can be helped by ensuring the dressing is at room temperature before using.
